The Miserables

The Third Anniversary Of the End Of Tyranny

The miserables are not necessarily those who were born in abject poverty, nor those who were coerced to live in poverty because of a cruel corrupt dictatorship, but rather those who choose to be so, although they had the opportunity to be the otherwise.

Why did I choose this title?
I admit that I had many other choices such as the mislead, or the misinformed, but I ended in choosing the miserables since I as well as many, would agree that it is an ethical and mental misery.

World news agencies, which is consumed and obsessed with negative news in Iraq, reported demonstrations on the third anniversary of the liberation of Iraq.As a matter of fact it reminded me with a demonstration which took place in England 1945, after the reports that Adolf Hitler committed suicide. Many naive citizens "I assume that they are naiver" went to the street yelling that Hitler did not die.He is like Jusus he will come back.

Who are those people ? who are enthusiastically yelling and screaming at cameras?I can classify them into the following categories:

1) People who are motivated by sectarian hatred, or what I call Muslim Fascists or Wahabis, pro Wahabis, people under the influence of Wahabis.
They believe that no matter how unjust, cruel, corrupt or tyrant a MUSLIM ruler is, he is better than gracious, philanthropic, just non Muslim. This category of people blame the Allies for overthrowing a Sunni ruler, and introducing a new form of government which relies on the participation of all the spectrums and components of the Iraqi society.
This new form of government, which was elected under fair conditions, produced a new form of regime, where Shiite majority won the elections. If the Allies revoke the election, and re-institute a Sunni ruler, their reason for anger and bitterness will fade, and they will consider the new choice of the Allies legal, and morally binding. The great majority of this category lives in the Islamic world, in societies were Wahabism is predominant such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Syria and many
. If the Allies try to change the regimes in Syria and Iran, or impose sanctions they will welcome it warmly. Since both Iran, and Syria are ruled by Shiites and Allawaite.

2)The second category of people, are those who were fed wrong information by the main stream media. I have said above that media is reporting only negative news. Terrorists understand the media game, so they attack civilians so that it is reported by media, to tell the world nothing good came from overthrowing tyranny in Iraq.
I have said it before that only history will judge this ethical war.If we have to give the allies a credit for two great achievements where humanity has benefited from it is ; the elimination of Nazism, fascism in Europe, and Japan, and the elimination of fascism in Iraq, which hopefully will lead to the elimination of fascism in the rest of the Middle East.
